We are currently recruiting for full-time Practice Development Coordinator for Beaumont Lodge Transitional Care Unit, Coolock, Dublin 5.

Responsibilities:

• The appointee will raise and set standards of quality of care by creating a culture of evidence-based practice for policies and procedures.
• Strategically plan, develop, and evaluate a project to enhance nursing practice in care.
• This role requires a combined knowledge of clinical practice, project management, service management, continuing education and professional development
• Liaison with all organizations/Acute Services including providers of training

• Review care of the patients nursing practice through audit and evaluation.

• Support all grades of nursing staff in performing a lead role in professional development in nursing care, practice and education.
• Disseminate professional and clinical knowledge.
• Endorse and enable lifelong learning through professional development
• Empower staff to develop and enhance practice
• Develop systems, which agree, monitor and improve standards of care.
• Enable the continued development of clinical practice guidelines, policies and protocols.
• Facilitate and support exceptional care through an accreditation process
• Plan, co-ordinate and evaluate continuing nurse education programmes specific to care of older persons.
• Organise and run educational sessions, workshops, study days and seminars
• Establish a framework for development of clinical competencies.
• Develop nursing practice by actively supporting and developing advanced clinical practice using Scope of Practice framework

• To deliver projects as a member of the Bartra Health Care and HCP teams to drive innovative clinical solutions for patients/residents.
• To undertake continuous professional development as a member in Bartra Health Care
• Project KPI’s and reports to the Director of Clinical Services or Deputy

Qualifications:

• Management Qualification and Experience in a managerial role
• Experience in Practice Development and Project Management
• Degree / Masters in Nursing /Health related subject
