Hopewell UMC Tyrone Preschool is an inclusive Christian learning environment that is dedicated to providing exceptional care and academic preparedness. Our school is child-centered and embraces individuality. Children are celebrated and nurtured to reach their full potential. Teacher hours are Mon.-Thurs. 8:30am-12:30pm. Program to start August 2023.

As an assistant Preschool Teacher, you will:

• Create a welcoming and safe environment for children and families
• Partner with families to nurture and care for their children
• Demonstrate ability to support Lead teacher with preschool and Christian curriculum to uphold school’s mission and vision
• Assist children with developmental milestones based on the GELDS standards
• Collaborate with Lead teacher to plan and conduct daily student activities
• Follow school policies and enhanced safety guidelines

Requirements:

• At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required
• Strong Christian faith background
• Demonstrated experience working with children; child care, daycare, or preschool
• Early childhood coursework, CDA or degree (preferred)
• CPR Certification (preferred)
• A nurturing teaching style
• A team player attitude
• A commitment to professional development

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Tyrone, GA 30290: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Preferred)
• Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
