COMPENSATION: $55K and up depending on Experience and/or Formal Training

JOB SUMMARY:

This is an entry level engineering position. In this position the candidate will be responsible for developing, assembling, maintaining automation equipment, and supporting manufacturing process projects. Position requires an understanding of automation programing and device interfacing. A successful candidate is someone that can work independently as well as within teams, and possess the ability to work on a variety of projects simultaneously. The job activities are typical to a manufacturing company and involve regular interfacing with the manufacturing personnel and manufacturing environment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with end-users to design and develop robotic or automated systems
  • Write and troubleshoot robotic code, vision systems and PLC programming
  • Build, test and install robotic systems
  • Develop documentation and train end-users on automation systems
  • Work with external vendors for sourcing components
  • Provide a high level of service and professionalism to our customers
  • Ensure that automated systems meet applicable safety and regulatory standard
  • Generate and outline project schedule

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors in Mechanical, Process or Automation Engineering or Associate degree minimum in a related field, or Equivalent experience preferred
  • Knowledge in automation & machine design (programming robotics, PLCs and Vision Systems)
  • Experience programming robotic arms (Universal Robots and ABB preferred)
  • Knowledge in device interfacing and component communication protocols
  • Team player, results driven and strong communication
  • PowerPoint/Word/Excel, SolidWorks, Polyscope, Robot Studio experience
