120 miles southeast of Columbus, OH and approximately 150 miles southwest of Pittsburgh, PA, Mineral wells, also known as Mineral Wells, is a census-designated place in Wood County, West Virginia. It is part of the Parkersburg-Marietta-Vienna, WV-OH Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 1,950 at the 2010 census.
The plant became a Pactiv facility in 2010 through acquisition and was formerly a PWP facility that started in Mineral Wells in 2003. The facility is part of the Food Merchandising Business Unit and manufactures clear and black APET product that supplies food packaging to Pactiv's retail customers. The employee population is approximately 200.

Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the duties which the employee may be expected to perform. To perform this job successfully, an individual is expected to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
Provide technical support and guidance for process maximization.- Maintain and document processes to reduce process variation.
- Provide input and assistance for tooling enhancement.
- Provide assistance for process development, control systems enhancement, and standardization of line setup.
- Provide operational safety oversight.
- Conduct Lead, Operator, and Setup Training.
- Support crisis process resolution.
- Support Project Managers and Engineers in all functions of implementing applicable projects to include product sample runs and new product development.
- Work with maintenance department for the repair and maintenance of equipment, machinery, and tooling to ensure they are performing safely and correctly, while achieving optimal up time and efficiencies.
- Interact and work closely with engineering, manufacturing and maintenance personnel to identify issues and implement appropriate solutions.
- Provide input and assistance for equipment and tooling upgrades.
- Ability to use an assortment of measuring devices, hand tools, shop equipment, and welders to setup equipment, make necessary repairs, and fabricate items to improve functionality of the process.
- The ability to work day and night shifts and/or unscheduled overtime.
