Job Summary:
The position is responsible for the positioning, features, benefits and pricing/discounting strategies of all VWS Tunnel products for the car wash market. The person in the position must have strong presentation, analytical and organizational skills and be able to effectively communicate with customers, distributors and internal stakeholders. The person should have direct knowledge of the car washing equipment market and must process a strong market sense and understanding of competitive products and market positions. The person must also be able to represent the VWS Tunnel products and have a core understanding of the value positions of all of the competitive product offerings.
The ability to assist in developing the strategies for the car wash equipment market is a key foundation of the position. This position requires a vision of product development and a roadmap for the future that is tempered by realistic “today” pricing and product placement that will drive market share and earnings growth. The person should have the ability to use data gathering, modeling and analysis to guide our overall strategy and develop a current and future state product roadmap. The ability to communicate strategies both internally and externally is a key requirement of the position.
The position must develop the key product value statements to be used in collateral materials that will enable advertising, marketing and sales to effectively communicate the strengths and benefits of our in-bay offerings. The benchmarking and auditing of key metrics based on gross margin and sales volumes will be monitored and communicated to the company as an important performance metric for the position.
Major Responsibilities/Activities (List the essential functions of the job):

Development/Maintain an optimized product offering for the tunnel segment of the global car wash equipment market.

- Determination of clear value propositions for software and products, work with the marketing team to develop effective marketing, advertising and sales materials to communicate these to the market.
- Understanding/analyze the competitive market share positions and trends of competitive companies.
- Modeling and suggesting product pricing strategies and levels for executive approval.
- Maintaining real-time market price information and determining trends and price positioning of product offerings.
- Actively working in the market to understand customer needs and clearly identifying opportunities within car wash equipment segment.
- Working with Sales Operations to efficiently monitor/track all sales trends, distributor trends, Net Promotor Scores, and addition AEM, Marketo, and Salesforce related tools.
- Working with New Product Development on determining features, benefits and cost strategies for future products with the development of project scopes documents. Actively work with NPD team on PPL
- Working with Life Cycle Team on determining features, benefits and cost strategies for add on services or existing product modifications/changes.
- Help develop product/project charters verifying valuations of all product/projects including the use of NPV and sales forecasts.
- Actively evangelizing Belanger and other VWS products at trade shows, customer visits and any opportunity to educate the market on features and benefits.
- Auditing and monitoring product sales for effectiveness of pricing strategies and margin analysis.
- Working with Operations to understand material, labor and general resource constraints and optimization levels to build into pricing/margin models.
- Work with the New Product Development team to monitor costs, provide product guidance and identify issues and opportunities throughout the development process.
- Working with new business opportunities to determine their effectiveness within the market and attractiveness for the payment solutions segment.
- Integrating discount strategies/pricing bundles effectively into pricing models to give direction to discount strategies.
- Provide input to reports and monthly comment letters summarizing market, competition and ICS goals in the market.
- Contributing to the market as a knowledge resource by developing whitepapers and trade journal editorial content.
- Developing, managing and completing new product launch events for substantial new product releases in coordination with the New Product Development group.

A minimum of five years of related product experience is required.

- General car wash industry knowledge is a strong consideration
- Proven use of analytical computer tools and models is a requirement with a strong focus on Microsoft products.
- Project and budget management skills.
- Costing, discounting, and pricing experience is required.
- Strong communication and presentation skills focused on effectively communicating data models and analysis results to senior staff.
