Production Associate - Press & Assembly - 2nd & 3rd Shift
Job description
Primary Job Function:
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Perform line start up.
- Load/Assemble/Weld parts.
- Correct machine problems.
- Inspect parts for defects.
- Maintain equipment using the TPM process.
- Know and adhere to safety procedures.
- Follow process procedures for Assembly.
- Maintain housekeeping requirements.
- Initiate quality improvements and assist in concern resolution.
- Maintain production efficiencies.
- Participate in improvement activities using 5S/TPM processes.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- One year of manufacturing experience preferred.
- General knowledge of quality systems.
- Able to identify sheet metal/aluminum defects.
- Basic knowledge using an ERP system.

- Occasional lifting, climbing, carrying, pulling, griping, grasping, twisting, bending, stooping and reaching throughout the work day
- Hand and eye coordination
- Ability to tolerate standing for 8 hours or more.
Travel Requirements:
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and ability to obtain a Passport.
- Travel within the US and Canada up to 5%, usually travel is throughout SE Michigan.

- Complete quality check documentation per process.
- Initiate quality improvements and assist in concern resolution.
- Maintain production efficiencies.
- Complete inside/outside die changeovers.
- Program and fine adjust automation equipment.
- Build automation tooling.
- Troubleshoot automation and equipment.
- Rack parts per specifications.
- Load steel in to destackers using a fork truck.
- Participate in improvement activities using 5-S / TPM processes.

2nd shift: 2:00pm - 10:30pm
3rd shift: 10:00pm - 6:30am
