A successful candidate will live local to the Louisville, KY plant. This is a hybrid position and will report to the office 2 days/week.

About the Job

The Scheduler I is responsible for scheduling assigned production lines to meet or exceed our customer service expectations for both order and quantity fill rates. The scheduler takes into account each line’s thru-put capabilities and ensures the schedules created are attainable, minimize changeovers and do not exceed the line’s daily capacity. Daily, you will be responsible to work closely with the plant production, material planning, QA, and warehousing departments to make sure that throughout the plant’s supply chain, our customer needs are being met. The production scheduler establishes priorities for production when or if lines fall behind and prioritization is required. The production scheduler is also responsible to serve as the point of contact with customer service to quickly resolve service issues and communicate updates timely.

What Does It Take to be a Scheduler I at Dawn Foods?

Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job.

• Associate degree in Business is preferred
• 3 years of related experience in the scheduling or supply chain related field.
• Must have operational knowledge of SAP, Excel, Word, & Microsoft Outlook.
• Specialized areas of expertise: APICS or related certification a plus.
• The ability to multi-task in high pressure situations and to always maintain a positive & caring attitude.
• Requires strong organizational skills, is dedicated and a true team player.

What You'll Do as a Scheduler I

• Create and distribute the daily production schedule for his/her assigned production lines within a single facility.
• The production orders need to be created within adherence to the scheduling guidelines and meet our supply chain KPI’s. (including but not limited to order & quantity fill rates, inventory targets, and optimal line utilization)
• Measure the daily production attainment results at each line level, understand the implications, and consider the necessary changes to maintain our customer’s high service levels.
• Communicate and escalate any concerns of supply with your respective supply planning manager, customer service, plant production and Plant Manager.
• Work closely with material planning to ensure they have clear expectations and inventory availability to meet our material needs.
• Continuously look for improvement opportunities within one’s responsibilities and those that impact the supply chain results.
• Demonstrate the Dawn values at all times and support the Circle of Excellence.
