Scope of Position:
The Shop Floor Supervisor is responsible for providing direction and oversight for the safe and efficient operations at our Elkhart, facility. Ensure daily accuracy in inventory of product as it moves through the process. Oversee a small shipping and receiving area while implementing Lean manufacturing practices and driving continuous improvement.

Our ideal candidate will be a results driven production supervisor with great people and communication skills. This individual will be responsible for managing the day to day activities of a food production plant with 4 hourly employees. Training on inventory system and shipping/receiving process will be provided. Experience with SAP or similar system will be valued.

Responsibilities:

• Develop SOP for Shop Floor
• Create Process orders for production
• Oversee daily production paperwork and cross referencing with Shop Floor for accuracy
• Train and Develop employees on the use of shop floor application on 1st and 2nd shift
• Communicate with supervisors for continuous improvement with Shop floor application
• Align resources to achieve daily work plan
• Communicate with Quality/Accounting/IT Departments on shop floor issues
• Setup and Delete users on Shop Floor
• Reconcile Inventory in Shop Floor
• Other Duties Assigned
• Maintain safety training for direct reports.

• Competent on computer, office software and associated equipment
• SAP knowledge a plus
• Will work in cold, possibly wet environments

• Basic understanding of meat processing, meat processing equipment and packaging

• Minimum of 2 years - food manufacturing experience
• Preferred college or technical degree with emphasis on critical thinking
