This position will coordinate and oversee all repair and production activities in the Electronics Technician and Parts Change department to ensure that customer commitments are met with quality and delivery.

Primary Duties:

  • Review daily production schedule and ensure demands are met through proper scheduling of work
  • Provide leadership, communication and expectations for employees
  • Ensure employees are trained and have appropriate tools to perform job
  • Coordinate and assist in repair development
  • Periodically review the work of employees to ensure adherence to quality standards and work instructions. Has authority to stop production to correct any quality problems
  • Evaluate employee performance to achieve a high level of output, write performance reviews and corrective actions
  • Ensure employees are aware of and provided with proper protective equipment and trained on chemical use and emergency exits in the department
  • Reviews data and trends on production and recommend continuous improvement activities
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices
  • Contact OES/Maintenance to resolve equipment issues
  • Prepare and enter data into and review information in CMS, ADP and Training Manager
  • Participates in recruitment activities by interviewing, testing and selecting staff

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and create schematics
  • Electronics repair experience at the component level
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities
  • Strong communication and reasoning skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to motivate others
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing methods
  • Broad knowledge of quality control and production methods
  • Microsoft Office and ERP experience

Education/Experience:

  • Associates degree in Electronics Engineering or similar discipline or equivalent military experience
  • Two or more years’ supervisory experience in manufacturing environment
