KRGV-TV, the ABC affiliate in the beautiful Rio Grande Valley of South Texas, is currently seeking: Programming Coordinator.
KRGV Channel 5 News, KRGV 5.2 Noticias RGV and KRGV 5.3 Somos El Valle is looking for a Programming Coordinator who is responsible for maintaining all program contracts and updating all program changes and formats across KRGV’s three stations.
The Programming Coordinator works with the Traffic/Programming Director to ensure that
KRGV station programming is scheduled and booked correctly.
The Programming Coordinator reports to the Traffic/Programming Director.
This position is
Full Time.
Job Description:
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are needed
- Knowledge of Google Drive and Microsoft Office applications, including Gmail, Google
- Calendar, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- The ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment is critical
- Must be a self-starter and display positivity under pressure
- Bachelor's Degree is a plus
Job Requirements:
- Input and maintain program schedules and formats in KRGV Traffic and Sales databases daily
- Effectively communicate programming information and changes to all necessary KRGV
- Departments and TV listing services
- Manage all syndication contracts for all KRGV stations
- Communicating the need for programming make goods to Station Management as needed
- Update Daytime timings & sponsors daily
- Verify that syndicated programs have been received
- Maintain programming storage space in the server
- Review station deviation reports for any programming discrepancies
