In this role, you will be a member of our highly reputable cost management and estimating team. The cost team delivers solutions to clients in the areas of conceptual estimating, budget development, cost planning, feasibility studies, value management, economic forecasting, milestone reports, pre- and post-contract auditing, change order review and reconciliation, BIM 5D cost modeling, LEED cost analysis, life cycle costing, and more. We are currently looking for a Project Controls Cost to be based on-site in Norwood, MA. This position is a key member of the Cost Management team on the management of large or multiple medium-sized biotech or life sciences projects. The candidate must demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills as well as a client-service mindset. This is a very client facing role where you will work closely with clients to continue to develop relationships and build new relationships. Responsibilities:
The Project Controls Cost position assists the Cost Lead, Cost Control Manager, and / or Construction Cost Manager with responsibilities including, but not be limited to, the following:
  • Execution of project controls activities (cost and estimating) on specific projects to ensure compliance and assuring accuracy of financial forecasts.
  • Design-build execution.
  • Budget development/recast from approved cost estimate using WBS and CBS.
  • Cost control and reporting
  • Change management: change orders, trends, variance analysis
  • Cash-flow forecasting.
  • Initial budget load and subsequent changes.
  • All Construction Change of Scope (CCOS) inputs.
  • Cost reporting, accounting & forecasting.
  • Invoice validation, review and processing.
  • Monthly reporting.
  • Willing to take initiatives and reach out to various stakeholders for solving business issues, instead of always sitting in office awaiting being fed by others.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Construction, Finance, Business, Accounting or related field is highly preferred.
  • 3+ years' of experience in construction project controls analysis.
  • Project Controls experience on large biotech or life sciences projects is highly preferred.
  • Firm understating of earned value management, forecasting, performance, and change management.
  • Understanding and experience in multiple discipline forecasting, budget movements, commitments, EAC and cash flows.
  • Planning, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize own work.
  • Highly proficient with Excel.
  • Self-motivated independent contributor with strong communication and analytical skills.
