What You Will Be Doing
The Project Engineer will be responsible for all engineering and technical disciplines that a project involves. You must be able to take a design from a conceptual stage to completion stage an be able to research, design, develop, test, make necessary changes, and produce a mechanical solution which meets customer requirements, while fitting within the time and budget constraints.
- Responsible for the development and advancement of layouts, drawings, designs, etc. and will communicate with the customer
- Monitor compliance with applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, and customer standards and specifications
- Responsible for approving and checking material/equipment order lists with Project Manager
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports
- Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for new products
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractors
- Investigate equipment failures or difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and recommend remedial actions
What You Need for this Position
- Bachelors degree or higher in mechanical engineering or in a related field
- 2+ years in design or manufacturing, preferably in the food industry
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer (preferred)
- Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Etc.
