Project Engineer

Location: Billerica, MA

Hours: 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday

Pay: $80,000 - $90,000 Annual

Responsibilities of the Project Engineer:

  • Design, hands-on mechanical assembly, testing, troubleshooting, installation, startup, and field service of high temperature vacuum furnace systems and advanced material processing systems.
  • Other responsibilities will include process design, technical writing, assisting customers with process troubleshooting, project management
  • Some shared administrative functions.
  • This position will require some travel to customer sites during system installation and field service.

Requirements of the Project Engineer:

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Experience in design, mechanical assembly, testing, troubleshooting, installation, and startup in one or more of the following areas:
  • Vacuum furnace systems
  • Industrial machining
  • Manufacturing equipment / systems
  • Advanced material processing systems.
  • Design, installation, testing and troubleshooting of instrumentation and process controls
  • Hands-on mechanical assembly of industrial equipment
  • Hands-on installation of instrumentation and process control
  • Mechanical Design
  • 3-D Modeling with Inventor or Solidworks
  • 2-D Drawings with AutoCAD
  • Familiarity with P&ID’s, process control

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Mechanical engineering: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Furnace Systems: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Industrial Machining: 1 year (Preferred)
  • SolidWorks: 1 year (Preferred)
  • AutoCAD: 1 year (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

  • 25% (Preferred)
