Job Position: Project Management Office (PMO) Manager
Job Location: Corporate Office, Stone Mountain GA
Reports To: CEO
Job Summary:
Project Management Office (PMO) Manager oversees business projects and ensure they are completed on time and within budget. They also ensure all team members uphold the company's standards throughout each project's development and execution.
Job Responsibilities: Project Management Office (PMO) Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of programs, projects, integrations, and business process improvements in the manufacturing environment. This position manages, coaches and supports a team of Project Managers, analysts, and key partnership vendors/suppliers to deliver near flawless execution of a related project. They will assist in ensuring the strategic vision and project guidance on major initiatives to achieve business objectives. They will build synergy with business stakeholders and be a member of the Senior Leadership team in achieving the desired outcomes through delivery via collaboration, management, and execution between outsourcing, internal/external technology, operations, and executive leadership team.
- Establish the Program Management Office (PMO) and the associated programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization
- Develop and deploy a project management delivery model and set of tools that will be utilized by the organization
- Run effective and efficient project management processes to drive good work prioritization and resource allocation decisions
- Manage and develop Project Managers within PMO programs that are individual projects tied to owners and sponsors
- Analyzing requirements of the business users to ensure that the project meets functional and operational goals, and to identify process impact and improvement
- Support owners and sponsors in creating project charters, project plans, resource plans, cost estimates
- Oversee large, complex projects requiring the involvement of project managers to keep on track
- Work with senior leadership to help plan, prioritize, and coordinate both short-term and long-term project strategy and implementation
- Identify resources and other requirements necessary to successfully implement projects, and provide strategic guidance and direction for effective project delivery
- Document processing requirements, data needs and business flows
- Document and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle
- Participation in testing to ensure that functional, processing and data requirements are met
- Communicating with technical teams to ensure developers understand and deliver requirements
- Manage the program budget process and coordinate with managers, project managers and vendors to ensure project resources are applied efficiently and effectively
- Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing appropriate parts of an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances and initiating corrective action
- Document and track activities, scope changes and lessons learned
- Conducting training for business users
- Ensure projects are delivered within timeline, budget, and deliverables are met.
Job Qualifications & Experience:
- 5+ years experience in a project management role with demonstrated skills in relationship building, negotiation, conflict resolution, and project management of projects have medium to high degree of complexity required
- PMP certification - PMI's Project Management Standard, PM tools and templates (disciplined approach to the projects)
- Can demonstrate expert knowledge of project management methodology and its practical application towards completing work.
- Experience defining and implementing program/project management using expertise and standard tools ( MS Project, MS Visio, MS Excel, and MS Word)
- Ability to think strategically and balance a broad range of internal and external factors when identifying problems, proposing solutions, and making decisions
- Work with multiple groups and cross function team experiences
- Experience managing project to migrate/build data center environments
- Experience in managing a portfolio of projects and working with stakeholders on common resource constraints
- Experience in leading and managing 3rd party vendor, local and virtual teams

- Strong presentation skills at all levels of the organization, experience in delivering to executive teams
- This individual must be comfortable with professionally challenging key stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- A successful track record of completing projects on time and on budget
- Proven track-record in managing multiple assignments simultaneously
- Consistently dependable, self-motivated, flexible, and highly driven individual
Preferred Qualifications:
- Lean Manufacturing
- Facilitation of Training and Coaching Background
- Experienced professional in Six Sigma Techniques, Black Belt Highly Preferred
- Experience working in GMP manufacturing environment
- Bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience partnering with technical and non-technical users to conceive and deliver high value, high profile solutions involving multiple stakeholders and requiring coordination across multiple delivery functions
- Track record of delivering demanding and complex agendas in a variety of cultures and business environments
- Bi-Lingual Speaker is a plus
Working Conditions:
- Visual Acuity (read, inspect objects, operator machinery, view a computer, analyze data).
- Frequent periods spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about.
- Environment will range from air-conditioned office to hot/humid manufacturing environment.
- Occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light-medium objects (8-25 lbs.).
- Overnight travel will be required (~15-25%).
