Job description

Under general supervision of the Property & Environmental Resources Supervisor – Services and Records, this position supports the mission of the Property and Environmental Resources Department by providing quality and efficient services to the public. The Property & Environmental Resources Specialist I provides information and services to the public related to services involving property and land, elections, records, and waste and recycling. This position processes passport applications, identifies taxes/fees due, maintains land use permit information, completes cash transactions, and performs general clerical support tasks while supporting projects as assigned. While all positions are cross trained in multiple functions and responsibilities for the Property & Environmental Resources department, positions will have an area of focus assigned as necessary for the workload of the department. Areas of projects/focus are taxation, waste, and recycling, assessing, environmental, drainage, and planning and zoning.

Pay: $21.94 - $30.73 per hour
