The Coordinator, Employer Relations is an integral part of the career services team. This administrative position provides excellent customer service to internal and external constituents, coordinates all aspects of the on-campus interview program, oversees management of the front office, and provides support for all employer relations activity. The Coordinator, Employer Relations role requires strong organization skills, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Educate and provide support to employers wishing to recruit at Marquette as they engage with on-campus recruiting services and resources
2. Provide excellent customer service via telephone and email, building positive relationships with internal and external constituents including employers, faculty, staff, and students
3. Train and supervise 4-5 student employees who perform various tasks which support the activity of students, alumni, employers, and full-time career services staff. Approve timesheets. Deliver semesterly performance appraisals.
4. Support the Assistant Director, Employer Relations in the administration of Marquette University’s career management platform in system maintenance, user training, employer approvals, job approvals, and employer events
5. Create career fair event in online management system, manage high volume of career fair registrations, and troubleshoot registration issues with employers.
6. Coordinate logistics of on-campus interview program including scheduling employer interview dates, managing schedule changes, and ensuring a positive experience for employers on interview day
7. Coordinate employer programming and events including employer pop-ups and information session space reservation, staffing, and publicity
8. Use organization skills to maintain efficient front office management. Duties performed an/or delegated to student employees include, but are not limited to, mail distribution/processing, visitor sign-in kiosk management, office maintenance, inventory management, and processing of event and sponsorship payments.
9. Assist in the development and revision of employer relations policies, procedures, and best practices
10. Promote on-campus recruiting activities to students, alumni, faculty and staff
11. Contribute to curation of student-facing eNewsletter content to maximize strategic communication of employer activity
12. Participate and/or lead career programming.
13. Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed

Bachelor’s degree required.
One to two years previous experience during or after undergraduate studies in career services, cooperative education, recruiting, human resources, or a related field in order to efficiently transition into the role and contribute to the university.
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Work in a fast-paced environment while delivering a high level of customer service and responsiveness
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Ability to learn SharePoint; Qualtrics; relational databases (CRMs); all functionality of online career platform including ability to troubleshoot and/or report problems, make system updates, and teach use of the system
Articulate thoughts and express ideas effectively using oral, written, and non-verbal communication skills as well as listening for meaning to gain understanding in person and in writing
Use empathetic skills and a positive attitude to guide and influence others while reaching a shared goal through adaptability and effective decision-making
Build and maintain collaborative relationships to work effectively with others in a team setting through shared responsibility, empathy and respect; seek and appreciate the viewpoints of those from diverse cultures, races, ages, genders, religions and lifestyles

Occasional evening and weekend hours required
Some occasional travel maybe required
Sitting, standing, communicating with others over the phone, online, or in person
Desire to work in higher education
Familiarity with Handshake, Marquette University’s online career management platform
Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
