This position requires an organized and energetic individual that likes to work with people. The position requires assisting multiple offices within the department in identifying its financial, personnel, and material needs and problems. This requires forecasting abilities and collaboration with staff in finding solutions to management problems arising out of changes in work. Under direction, candidate will administer the business affairs of the Public Works Department, and is responsible for providing or obtaining a variety of management services essential to the operation of the department; does related work as required. Candidate will be required to assist in obtaining price quotes on equipment and advise of available contracts, agreements, and cooperative arrangements with other government agencies.

REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree. (Professional accounting subjects preferred.) NOTE: Applicants who do not meet the above education requirement may substitute additional experience as described below on a year-for-year basis with thirty (30) semester hour credits equal to one (1) year of experience.

EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of management experience which shall have involved all of the following management functions: (1) setting program or organizational goals and objectives, (2) establishing organizational structure or determining the need for and developing plans for organizational changes, (3) setting policy for the organization or program managed by establishing program emphasis and priorities and developing operating and procedural guidelines, and (4) directing the work of the organization or program through subordinate levels of supervision.

NOTE: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in Human Services Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, Industrial Management, Industrial Engineering, Management Science, or in a program related to the organization, operation, administration, and control of private or public organizations may be substituted for one (1) year of above experience.

Pay: $50,534.00 - $58,274.00 per year
