GRANT SUPPLIES is a wholesale distributor of electrical and plumbing supplies.

Grant is one of America's leading suppliers of electrical and plumbing products to the domestic and international marketplace.

Established in 1986 in Long Island City, New York, Grant Supplies enjoys direct purchase relationships with the world's leading manufacturers, ensuring fast access and high quality supplies at competitive prices to our customers.

Hours: Monday- Friday 8am-5pm

Job Functions & Responsibilities:

· Responsible for negotiating with various vendors for material goods and services, negotiating price agreements and contracts for services.

· Responsible for stock purchasing for all locations

· Maintain a strong relationship with vendor representatives; follow up with requests by salespeople on quotes and pricing/lead times

· Update all pricing changes

· Monitor orders are fulfilled in a timely manner and follow up with all back-orders and missing items for each vendor

· Follow up with inventory for each branch and transfer materials when branch inventory is low

· May need to go into the warehouse to check inventory and follow up on orders.

Qualifications:

· Specific industry-related experience is helpful, but not required; will train the right candidate

· Solid computer, organizational, and problem-solving skills

· Flexibility with work demands, meeting constant deadlines, and accomplish assigned tasks in a timely manner

· Must possess the ability to clearly and effectively communicate in English

· Strong motivation to thrive, grow, and excel within working environment

· Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, or work experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree
