Responsibilities of the role include:
- Perform all functions and duties in the Laboratory operations as needed.
- Collect, review and file Certificates of Analysis for all raw materials.
- Prepare samples for outside testing as needed.
- Organise, store, clean up and dispose of QC retained samples.
- Report problem areas within the QC function and recommend solutions.
- Maintain and calibrate instruments regularly.
- Perform standard routine tests on products.
- Maintain adequate stocks of reagents and materials for the lab.
- Wash all glassware, maintain clean working area and sufficient inventory of supplies in the lab.
- Evaluate incoming raw material samples for compliance and specifications.
- Amy other duties as required.
The successful individual will have the following:
- Degree in Quality, Food Science, or related discipline essential.
- 2 years industry experience is a distinct advantage.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Must have excellent attention to detail and be process orientated.
