This is a full time administrative position in Kingsburg, Ca, which is responsible for overall quality compliance at Kingsburg and Cold Storage manufacturing location. Individual will be responsible for supervising up to 20 union employees as well a crew-leader.
Primary Responsibilities
• Responsible for facility Quality compliance programs and policies. • This position will focus on meeting necessary regulations, accepted practices, prescribed rules and regulations, specified standards by applicable governing bodies and customer expectations.
- Oversee facility Pest Control Program
- Oversee facility Sanitation Program
- Technical expert of facility critical to Quality devices. Oversee facility Critical to Quality Calibration program
- Responsible for co-leading customer audits, Consumer audits, 3rd party certification audits with Quality Manager
- Responsible for new customer set-up, questionnaire and requirements.
- Assist Quality Manager with ongoing implementation, refining, validation and verification of HACCP, Food Safety preventive control program.
- Understand USDA requirements. Interact and communicate with USDA inspectors regarding all aspects during active working time at fascility.
- Conduct inspections and make product determinations and pass-fail decisions on all products being processed.
- Manage Staffing, annual evaluation, performance, training and safety requirements for Quality technicians and direct reports.
- Understand Union contracts and effectively use their provisions to increase efficiency and yield.
- Supervise all activities in the area of responsibility.

Education
BS in technical science (food, microbiology, Chemistry) is required
Preferred 2-3 years of experience in food Industry
