Optimize Recruitment are partnering with an engineering company in Waterford to recruit a Quality Control/ Assurance Manager on a full time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will sustain and develop the existing Quality Management System including the Procedures, QWIs and protocols.

Some of the responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of the ISO 14001:2015 environment management system.
- Carry out internal audits to identify process gaps and improvements including preparing a detailed plan for implementation of new recommended processes and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with the Technology & Development division to introduce new products and technologies.
- Conduct risk assessments in workflows and procedures to ensure effective and repetitive outputs achieved.
- Lead and drive projects for Problem Solving, Failure & Root Cause Analysis, Risk Assessment & FMEAs.
- Manage and prepare site quality systems incorporating ERP system implementation and dedicated QMS applications.
- Provide Quality leadership to environmentally controlled manufacturing and production areas.
- Develop and implement Inspection Monitoring and Process Control procedures to improve operational efficiency.
- Implement and sustain Lean tools and methodologies throughout the business.
- Any other duties as required.
Experience:
- Degree in a Quality or Engineering related discipline essential.
- 5+ years’ experience in a Quality Engineering or Engineering role with a customer-facing element.
- Experience with writing, reviewing, and verifying Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Must have an excellent knowledge of the ISO Quality Management Sysyems (9001,14001, etc.).
- Experience and knowledge operating in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment.
- Experience in Engineering/Manufacturing regulated environments preferable.
- Must have the ability to manage and work in a fast paced and dynamic working environment.
- Full, clean drivers licence required.
