Job description

Our client, a high-precision components manufacturer, is seeking a Quality Inspector to join their team at their Normal, IL facility. As a Quality Inspector, you will inspect suspect material and parts based on customer requirements, both lineside and offline. You will use visual inspection and measuring tools to ensure all components conform to customer standards and perform re-work on material/parts if necessary. Depending on the shift, the position pays between $18.00 to $22.00 an hour, and both full and part-time are available.

Daily Responsibilities

• Inspecting suspect material/parts via customer specification. Inspection may be lineside or offline. It could be visual or with measuring tools based on customer requirements.
• Rejecting suspect material/parts with a placard for identification and proper packaging of any material/parts.
• Per customer requirements, performing re-work on material/parts to ensure all material conforms, if applicable.
• Documenting/Recording inspection results by properly completing reports, logs, or tally sheets summarizing re-work and/or defects.
• Recording information throughout the day.
• Maintaining an elegant 5’S work area and ensuring job instructions are followed as written.
• Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by following standard operating procedures and complying with legal regulations.
• Updating job knowledge by reviewing job-specific work instructions.

About You

• Ability to work 12-hour shifts up to 7 days, including weekends (Saturday and Sunday) if requested.

Shift and Pay Rates:

• Full-Time: Day Shift - $18.00
• Full-Time: Evening Shift - $18.25
• Full-Time Night Shift - $18.50
• Part-Time Day and Evening Shift - $18.00
• Weekend Shift - $22.00
