Role Summary

We are looking for a responsible Quality Inspectorto check the quality of our incoming and outgoing material and products as well as production procedures. You will be a firm advocate of quality in our business. The ideal candidate will possess a trained eye for detail and will be reliable and committed. In depth knowledge and comprehension of quality standards is essential. The goal is to ensure that our products are made of flawless materials with well-functioning equipment. That way our customers will enjoy high-quality merchandise so that we can achieve long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

• Reading blueprints and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the product
• Approving or rejecting raw materials with respect to quality standards and record supplier performance
• Selecting output samples and checking them using appropriate methods

· Use automated systems to perform complex testing procedures

· Maintain records of testing, information, and various metrics such as number of defective products per day etc.

· Inspect procedures of the entire production cycle to ensure they are efficient and comply with safety standards

· Prepare and submit reports to the quality manager

Required Qualifications and Skills

· High school diploma/GED required

· High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

· Knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies

· Ability to use handheld measuring tools, (Calipers, Micrometers, Height gages)

· Works effectively in a fast-paced high-volume environment

· Able to work independently under general supervision and prioritize tasks

· Strong time management and organizational skills

· Must have good verbal and written communication skills

· Able to work with all levels of staff

· This position will require lawful access to ITAR/EAR controlled information and employees in this role will need to meet those requirements. Requirements include US Citizenship, US Permanent Resident, or ability to meet licensure requirements

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

· Strong experience with Microsoft Office products

· Knowledge of The Business Edge ERP

· Certification in quality control is a strong advantage

· Ability to use an Optical Comparator

· Experience with PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan

Work Environment:

This job operates in an office / warehouse environment

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
