Job description

The Quality Manager leads, directs, coordinates, and performs activities associated with the Quality Management System (QMS) at Mogadore Ohio Rubbermaid manufacturing facility. This includes responsibility for developing strategic plans, quality policies, processes, and procedures, as well as process improvements and corrective actions.
Responsibilities and Duties

• Lead all quality activities and initiatives at the facility
• Utilize analytics to develop and and implement quality improvement initiatives
• Support product regulatory compliance activities
• Implement and support quality policies, procedures, and quality system development
• Drive the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and coordination of prototype, pre-launch, and launch part qualification runs with suppliers and manufacturing
• Review, conduct and approve control plans, process flow diagrams, Process Failure Modes Effects and Analysis (PFMEA), Gage R&R’s
• Manage customer audits and inspections
• Lead, mentor and develop direct report(s)
• Manage quality customer complaint process and metrics
• Develop quality metrics, establish goals and provide KPI reports
• Conduct audits and validate corrective and preventive actions

Qualifications and Skills
Key Qualifications: (examples below)

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• 5+ years of leadership experience
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience
• Thorough knowledge of quality methods and systems (statistics, reliability, sampling, and auditing)
• ISO/QS/TS quality system working knowledge
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications: (examples below)

• Experience with Plastic Injection Molding
• Experience with consumer goods packaging operations
• Working knowledge of the automotive AQPQ and PPAP processes.
• ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Quality Engineer (CQE) or Quality Manager (CQM) is preferred
• Demonstrated success of communicating across multiple functions
