Description

The Receiving Associate under supervision and using established procedures, ensures that trucks are loaded, trays and dollies are unloaded properly. Follows all GMP's and ensures hands are cleaned and sanitized at all times. Ensures the production of safe, high-quality product. Promotes good company morale. Ensures all checklist and required forms are filled correctly in a timely manner. Complete all tasks deemed necessary by supervisors.

Responsibilities:

• Process orders through the operating system to print list and label.
• Determines the method of shipment and prepares bills, invoices, and other shipping documents.
• Organizes distribution of merchandise.
• Makes necessary verifications against documents, unpacks and routes goods to appropriate storage areas.
• Handles customer pick-ups.
• Takes inventory, maintains storage area, organizes, and places stock on shelves. Ensures the area is always secure.
• Loading and unloading trailers.
• Product verification, receiving, and put-away.
• Completing load sheets, trailer inspections, BOL's, etc.
• Housekeeping duties of both the shipping docks and trailers.
• Ensures proper rotation and quality of product.
• Direct communication with Supervisor.
• Must be able to lift up to 50-75 lbs.
• Other warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to process large volumes of repetitive work to meet established deadlines.
• Ability to lift heavy materials weighing up to fifty (50) pounds.
• Experience with motorized pallets jacks and electric standup forklifts.
• Must have prior shipping and receiving experience.
• Must have attention to detail skills.
• Knowledge working with ERP (scanning) systems.
• Knowledge in excel and all products of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to follow directions of supervisor and follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Must be flexible to work weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of baking processes, equipment and terminology.

Work Environment:

Position is in an industrial setting that involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions, as well as Good Manufacturing Processes compliance. Will be pushing and pulling stacks of product that may weigh as much as 250 lbs. May lift materials weighing up to fifty (50) pounds on a recurring basis.
