PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Receptionist to operate the front of house reception area within the firm. This will be a fixed term contract for the duration of February and March 2023.
WHAT WILL THE ROLE ENTAIL?
Responsible for front desk reception and switchboard between the hours of 8:00 to 13:00.
The reception duties will include:
- Opening up procedures
- Greet visitors to the office in a friendly and positive manner
- Manage main switchboard and coordinate messages to staff
- Log incoming post and redirect where appropriate
- Order couriers and taxis
- Arrange and co-ordinate legal swearings internally and externally
- Manage the central queries inbox and redirect appropriately
- Co-ordinate and book meeting room requests
- Ensure that the reception area is always kept neat and tidy
- Other ad-hoc administrative duties as required
- Back up support for 4th Floor Receptionist
- Scanning of all post & DX to the relevant fee earner/secretary
WHAT SKILLS WILL I HAVE TO SUCCEED?
Our ideal candidate will need the following skills:
- Previous corporate receptionist experience essential, ideally within a private practice law firm environment
- Positive ‘can-do' attitude, flexibility, and great work ethic
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Conscientious with excellent attention to detail
- Self-motivated and disciplined
- Ability to stay calm under pressure
- Team player
- Ability to communicate effectively
- IT literacy in MS packages (Outlook; Word; Excel) etc.
