Receptionist –
- Front person for office communications and visitors
- Assist with miscellaneous office and ministry needs
- Maintain office environment that ensures absolute confidentiality
Primary Responsibilities:
- Receive and transfer telephone calls and takes messages
- Schedule appointments and masses
- Coordinate safe environment requirements and maintains Virtus
- Write thank you letters and type letters
- Attend staff meetings and other meetings as requested.
- Provide backup for envelope entry
- Oversee the timely opening and secure closing of the office each day. Ensures that all machines are off, windows and doors are locked and all appropriate lights and heat/air conditioning are off.
- Oversee an inventory of office supplies. Orders materials, supplies, or equipment as needed.
- Enters new Parishioners into the Parish Soft system and maintains the parish offering envelope system. Updates data on a regular basis and sends quarterly reports to printer.
- Provides charitable assistance by referring persons to appropriate charitable or social agencies/organizations.
- Calls and sends welcome letters to new parishioners from the pastor.
- Support to others in office as needed.
Education and Training:
- Must have people skills
- Must have organizational skills
- Must have computer skills
Compensation:
- This is a part-time, hourly position of 20 hours per week
