Our staff provides Policy and Governance Support Services as well as incidental advisory and assistance services to the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) for the National Nuclear Security Administration. These services include ensuring compliance for various government programs, developing and reviewing IT and Cyber Security policy that affects the OCIO or the agency, providing Cyber Security and IT Governance and Analysis, data consolidation, Program and Project Management Support and Oversight, Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) oversight, and Financial Execution Analysis for all OCIO investments. Additionally, our services extend to managing the communications for the OCIO and pro-actively engaging with stakeholders and customers, both internal and external.
Criterion is seeking a Records Management Analyst to assist the National Nuclear Security Administration’s Office of the Chief Information Officer with a wide range of records management tasks, including the administration of a comprehensive RM program based on NARA requirements and other applicable laws and regulations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the establishment of an effective and appropriate management process and system for the organization of NNSA records and information. This will include the formulation of policies and standard operating procedures that promote the utilization, access, handling, protection, and disposition of organization information artifacts.
He or she will effectively and appropriately apply records processes and disposition rules to NNSA records; as well as identify and destroy documents (upon Government approval) in accordance with Department of Energy (DoE) regulations. He or she will assist NNSA offices with records identification, packaging, inventory, and shipment for storage. The Records Management Analyst will work in a full-time capacity supporting our NNSA customer.
The Records Management Analyst will also act as a subject matter expert on organization’s information processes, including but not limited to, the organization, storage, archival, retrieval and sharing of information on multiple platforms.
Specific tasks may include the following:
- Work with federal and contractor personnel in the development, training, and implementation of Record Management policies and processes across the NNSA;
- Supervising and training personnel in archival and records management functions and activities, based on DoE and NNSA -specific record management policies, including retention and disposal schedules;
- Performing the storage, disposition, destruction and archiving tasks for NNSA electronic files, documents and records per DoE regulations;
- Application of content categorization and taxonomies to NNSA documents and records;
- Will search out and find relevant data and organize and classify that data;
- Ensuring that all documents meet established content standards.
- Develop and maintain programmatic guidance documentation to include a Vital Records Plan and Governance Plan;
- US Citizenship (no dual citizenship)
- 5 years of experience in records management;
- Bachelor's Degree or additional 4 years of work experience to be used in lieu of degree
- Experience in evaluating organizational processes and developing appropriate records management solutions;
- Experience with physical and electronic records management policies, practices, and procedures;
- Experience with electronic records management methodologies and systems;
- Familiar with Information Taxonomy and Lexicon creation and management and Information Management industry best practices;
- 3-5 years experience with MS Office products including Access, InfoPath, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook;
- 3-5 years experience with Microsoft SharePoint Portal 2003/MOSS 2007;
- 3-5 years experience with Web-based applications.
- Prior experience with content management, records management or document management;
- Knowledge of policies governing the storage, access, and transmittal, of classified information;
- Familiar with the integration capabilities of Microsoft Office products and Microsoft SharePoint Portal 2003/MOSS 2007;
- Exceptional organizational, presentation and communication skills (verbal and written);
- Excellent listening and comprehension skills;
- Ability to extract and clearly articulate key concepts and requirements from verbal discussions, documentation and transcripts.
- Must be able to obtain a DoE Q clearance (equivalent to DoD TOP SECRET); active DoE L, DoE Q, or DOD Secret clearance (or higher) preferred;
