Compensation: $22 - $25 per hour

About the Job

We are looking for a Registered Dental Assistant for a premier health organization in Sacramento, California. By helping dentists and other staff members with a range of patient care, office, and laboratory tasks, the Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) will offer patients high-quality treatment and services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Make certain that all patient records and associated paperwork are handled and kept in a timely, accurate, and compliant manner with all HIPAA and related laws and specifications.
  • Ensure that all patient services and billing information is gathered and submitted immediately and properly; achieve good billing and collection outcomes.
  • Ensure that all responsibilities performed in connection with providing and managing patient care, dealing with patients' administrative needs, and other related activities adhere to all regulatory and accrediting requirements as well as clinic policies and procedures.
  • Build trusting connections with all of your patients; educate patients about general oral health and/or post-treatment care for them and their families as necessary.
  • Uphold and consistently reflect the organization's mission and values at all times. Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times when representing the company.
  • Prepare and maintain the supplies, tools, and equipment used in dentistry.
  • Prior to the examination, gather and document information on the dental and medical history of the patient.
  • Assist the dentist while they are doing operations by gathering and preparing the necessary tools for their usage.
  • Support the other staff roles, offer respite and assistance for other staff tasks, and carry out office tasks as needed.
  • Interact favorably with a wide-ranging, occasionally challenging, and demanding patient group;
  • In order to address the patient's physical, emotional, educational, and safety requirements, the provider must deliver services in a way that is suitable for the patient's age and show the knowledge and abilities required.
  • Reading, writing, and maintaining patient records and related administrative paperwork
  • Utilize the necessary equipment, software, systems, and techniques for collection, administration, and storage of patient data.
  • Execute any extra tasks approved by the Dental Board of California's Table of Allowable Duties for RDA.
  • Knowledge of dental operations, clinic infection control protocols, tool cleaning and sterilization, tray setup, and supplies should be shown.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Current and valid RDA license
  • Minimum of one or more years of related education and/or experience in a Dental environment
  • Dental Sealants certification
  • California dental practice act/infection control completed
  • Current CPR certification
  • Knowledge of dental practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and office practices and procedures
  • Radiation safety certification or successful completion of a radiation safety course
  • Vaccinated
  • Authorized to work in the US

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Sacramento, CA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
