DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONThe Staff Nurse under the supervision of the Charge Nurse is responsible for the nursing care of patients assigned to him/her, and to direct others in patient care.

QUALIFICATIONS

Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing.

Current Illinois Registered Professional Nursing license with biennial renewal.

Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
-
Certification in clinical specialty encouraged.
-
Works effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion and diplomacy.

Demonstrates leadership and teaching ability.

Possesses the ability to work under pressure.
