Responsibilities
- Follow all of the facility's policies and procedures protocols
- Document and communicate any patient's change of condition that occur during shift
- Ensure patient health care records are maintained and accurate
- Contact patient's physician as needed according to facility's protocol.
- Administer medications according to the E-MAR.
- Order clinical and medical diagnostic exams and tests
- Take patient vital signs
- Record patient medical history
- Work with other nurses and medical professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Take vital signs and start IVs for patients
- Interpret diagnostic exams and tests to identify patient conditions
- Be able to supervise the work of all LVNs & CNAs on your shift.
- Guarantee patient confidentiality is respected and kept intact
- Maintain a safe, hygienic working environment
- Enter any new physician orders into E-MAR system.
- Ensure all medical equipment used is up-to-date and functions properly
- Document all actions and any irregularities so that other nursing teams are aware of the current state of the patient
- An active Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of California is required.
- (1-2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse preferred**
- Excellent interpersonal and client care skills
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Skilled Nursing experience preferred**
- Charge Nurse experience preferred**
- Electronic Medication Administration Record software (E-MAR) knowledge (Point Click Care - PCC)
