Job Summary

The A.J. Drexel Autism Institute (AJDAI) is seeking a part-time Junior Research Data Analyst (Research Associate I). This position will be based in the Policy and Analytics Center (PAC) at the A.J. Drexel Autism Institute (AJDAI). Founded in 2012, the AJDAI is a university-level research institute that applies public health science approaches to autism spectrum disorders. The mission of PAC is to is to utilize research methods and innovative analytic strategies to support the development of effective social and health policy in cities, states, and across the US. The Research Data Analyst (Junior) will support both project coordination tasks and data analysis and visualization needs for all PAC programs.

Essential Functions

  • Supporting analyses of data in a scientifically vetted capacity and be able to communicate these results with colleague
  • Ensure data quality control, data cleaning, annotation, and integration.
  • Draft content for literature reviews, resources, articles, research manuscripts, and other products
  • Supporting research study coordination activities including progress tracking, study recruitment, reporting

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in statistics, data science, or another related field
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience OR recent masters graduates (no experience needed)
  • Experience in data analytics and reporting in SPSS, SAS, Stata, or R.
  • Experience with data visualization through Tableau or other similar software.
  • An ideal candidate will:
    • Have strong interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral presentation skills with the ability to communicate in-person as well as via telephone and email.
    • Have a good sense of humor and the ability to tolerate ambiguity.
  • Flexible, with great time management skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks and work under deadlines in collaboration with other team members.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as a part of a team in a fast paced, high growth environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of autism, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and/or mental health.
  • A strong command of Microsoft Office programs including PowerPoint, Word, Publisher, and Excel.
