We are seeking a highly motivated Resident Application Engineer to support Vitesco Technologies' Mechatronic Sensors (MES) sub-segment. As the Resident Application Engineer, you will work closely with our advanced development team to define and innovate mechatronic sensor products for future needs, as well as support our development and production engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the advanced development team for product definition and innovation of mechatronic sensor products for future needs.
• Maintain a close connection with North American customers to understand their needs and requirements.
• Work together with sales teams to promote mechatronic sensor products in the North American market.
• Set strategy and action plans with product heads and customers.
• Help represent the North American market/customers on product opportunities, trends, and requirements.
• Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external customers regarding new products within the product group, linking and bridging to the Product Family Product Managers in Europe.
• Support new project acquisition with customer/technical inputs.
• Deal primarily with engineering/design-related issues and act as a liaison between the development center, production sites, and the customer on a product-by-product basis.
• Lead all engineering change and cost reduction activities for current production parts.
• Support the project manager and project team during all phases of the project to help ensure a smooth launch with the customer.
• Provide clear direction to assigned product team members regarding program/customer objectives, requirements, and timing.
• Support launch and series production issues as a first responder/interface.
• Link communication between all parties and represent the business unit at the customer.
• Report quarterly business strategies and key items/action plans.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Experience in the evaluation of system designs.
• Experience with customer interaction/support.
• Understands the use, boundary conditions, and fields of application of systems.
• Understands system SW and EE interfaces.
• Understands development methods and tools.
• Ability to recognize weaknesses and risks.
• Ability to analyze problems (with due allowance for the SW/EE) and formulate corresponding solutions.
• Ability to abstract and simplify.
• Knowledge of system integration.
