Stantec along with joint venture partner Ryan Hanley, are excited to be delivering projects on the Irish Water Engineering Design Services Framework. The Joint Venture is supporting Irish Water’s Business Plan objectives up to 2027, which will see a €3.5bn investment in asset delivery across three primary portfolios: Wastewater Capital, Networks and Water Capital.
We are recruiting in Ireland and are now looking for Resident Engineers with experience in the water industry to join us. We are seeking driven individuals to join our growing team of professionals working to meet the unprecedented industry-wide efficiency and environmental challenges. We are flexible with location so the position can be based in Dublin or elsewhere.
You will have the opportunity to join a dynamic team spread across the UK and Ireland, supporting the delivery of a variety of projects as part of major capital investment programmes. Day to day you will work collaboratively with teams having the same aim of delivering world class solutions for our clients and the communities around us. Specifically the role typically involves:
- Working alongside Irish Water, Contractor and Stantec teams on multiple wastewater networks survey contracts
- Dealing with contractual matters on site
- Assessment of Contractor claims and payment applications against work completed.
- Assessment of Contractor performance against Contractual KPI’s.
- Supervision of survey activities, managing correspondence and contractual documentation.
- Customer Engagement and communication
- Health, Safety, Quality, Environment (HSQE) on-site supervision, monitoring and reporting
About you
To be considered for this opportunity you must be degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or other relevant subject with experience in the water industry. You must also be Chartered or working toward Chartership with a relevant engineering institution e.g. IEI, ICE, CIWEM.
Ideally, you’ll have previous experience of managing flow-survey and ancillary contracts, co-ordinating with other technical professionals and stakeholders. You’ll have Knowledge and Awareness of Health & Safety Legislation and Regulations, ideally possessing Managing Safely in Construction training.
