The Point by Switchpoint is looking for Front Desk Resident Support Staff that can work a flexible schedule - Day Shift at our 24/7 housing facility.
The Point by Switchpoint (Salt Lake City, UT) housing community for low income and homeless individuals in an effort to provide stable and reliable housing options. The Point has wrap-around services to best suit our residents/clients in their day to day life.
The Front Desk Resident Support will be a reliable and energetic individual with a passion for serving residents who come from diverse backgrounds and may need extra support. The Front Desk Resident Support will foster a welcoming, safe, and secure environment for our residents. Responsibilities include:
- Understand and implement The Point’s mission and values, and adhere to the Staff Code of Conduct and policies and procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service to all residents of the facility.
- Keep a daily log of occurrences within the Point on each shift.
- Make notes of any special requirements and needs that residents may have (Special diets, ADA accommodations, etc.) Coordinate with management to facilitate those needs.
- Update maintenance log with resident requests and get maintenance log to maintenance staff.
- Arrange transportation for guests in the Point shuttle vans.
- Check in on residents to ensure that all of their needs are met and the experience at the Point is positive.
- Actively listen to the needs of the residents and act to meet those needs appropriately.
- Facilitate as requested special events and activities for the residents.
- Reconcile and report any monetary funds, petty cash and other expenditures daily.
- Report any resident concerns to the Director/Asst. Director and/or appropriate department leadership team.
- Demonstrate a passion for customer service as evidenced by interaction with co-workers, residents, volunteers, potential residents and guests.
- Give Point tours to potential residents and guests.
- Laundry (Bedding when soiled or when guests check out.)
- Simple cleaning (Public bathroom, sweeping, mopping, etc)
- Handle all transactions within the convenience store
- Monitor Cameras and log activity
- Complete perimeter checks around building and walk-throughs in building to ensure safety and security of residents. Log or document any concerns.
- Handle security issues/complaints by calling either non-emergency dispatch or 911 for emergency services.
Expectations:
- Be an example of the Switchpoint culture, create a positive work environment for yourself, guests. and other co-workers.
- Abide by all Switchpoint rules and policies.
- Keep records of all special requirements.
- Conduct resident satisfaction surveys quarterly.
- Keep accurate logs of all transactions and submit them to management daily.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED required. Experience in social services or related fields preferred.
- Exhibits a motivated, positive and compassionate attitude, sensitivity, and the ability to work well with others in a close residential setting
- Model positive behavior, appropriate boundaries, and the ability to use sound judgment during times of crisis
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal skills
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and Google Docs
- Possesses valid Driver’s License
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be at least 19 years of age

- Shifts Needed: Nights, Grave Shift, Weekends
