Red Circle Lodge Job Description

Position: Residential Director

• Residential Director is a member of the Administration of Red Circle Lodge and is expected to conduct themselves as such. When they are representing the facility they must do so in professional ways in writing and personal conduct.

• Residential Director will communicate with other members of administration about problems and present possible solutions regarding facilities, staff, and clients.

• Residential Director will be the representative of the Residential Department at meetings and trainings and is a key piece of two way communication within the Red Circle Lodge team. They need to be aware of employee needs and express them to the other board members and also communicate company needs to the employees.

• Residential Director is responsible for maintaining direct care staff at a ratio of 1 staff per four students during awake hours and 1 staff per 8 students during sleeping hours.

• Residential Director needs to remain current in all trainings included but not limited to: CPR/First Aid, crisis management, suicide prevention, and other trainings as required by Red Circle Lodge.

• Residential Director is responsible for ensuring all direct care staff are trained in First Aid/CPR, crisis management (enter name of current system being used), structure and protocols, and various ongoing trainings.

• Residential Director is responsible for helping make sure that staff understand the mission statement of Red Circle Lodge and are motivated through fulfilling its principles and goals.

• Residential Director is responsible to make sure that all direct care staff are competently trained in policy and procedure so they can ensure the safety and security of all residents.

• Residential Director will help teach, demonstrate and implement the philosophy of Positive Peer Culture amongst staff and other employees at Red Circle Lodge.

• Residential Director will be responsible for ensuring Red Circle Lodge meets certain state requirements such as completing fire drills and meeting safety requirements.

• Residential Director will be responsible for completing or delegating appropriate daily, weekly and monthly reports for the use of Red Circle Lodge, contracting agencies, or for the State and local authorities.

• Residential Director will be responsible for completing staff evaluations for staff at 90 days and annually upon hire date or promotion date.

• Residential Director will be responsible for meeting department budget by managing staff schedules and eliminating overtime.

• Other Duties may be added in writing upon the needs and recognition of the need by Red Circle Lodge Administration.
