Job description
Rockaway Care Center is looking for a part time- 12 hr shift (8:00 pm - 8:00 am) Respiratory Therapist for our 20 bed ventilator unit.
Responsibilities as a Respiratory Therapist:
- Interview and examine residents with breathing difficulties
- Consult with doctors and nursing staff to develop and modify resident treatment plan
- Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests to measure lung capacity
- Use equipment to administer oxygen to the resident to assist with breathing
- Monitor residents on a ventilator
- Monitor a resident’s response to medication and alter when needed
- Regularly check on residents and equipment
Requirements for a Respiratory Therapist
- Must have BLS
- Must be a RRT
- Must be patient and sensitive to resident needs
- Must be able to work night shift
- Must be fully vaccinated for Covid
