Job Title: Network Engineer
Location: Houston, TX (not a remote job. currently is a hybrid job up to 3 days each week in the office)
Must have:
* CCNA or CCNP level network knowledge
* Install and configure Palo Alto firewall or similar firewall equipment
* Knowledge of CCTV, PAGA systems
* Working knowledge of telecommunications industry best practices of offshore and onshore system design and associated facilities.
* Experience in working in mission-critical facilities or hazardous environments with an ability to adjust work tasks to be compliant with health and safety requirements as well as company work standards.
Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency to deliver results with intermediate networking concepts and infrastructure components: Secure network design, Cisco routers, switches, access points, wireless LAN controllers, and Cisco SDN technologies. Routing and switching planning, design, and implementation. VPN and third-party connectivity configurations. Network data gathering tools, traffic analysis, and network concepts from layers 2 through 7 including NAT and application identification. Analysis of syslogs on devices and in Splunk. Radio systems design and installation using 900 MHz, 2.4 & 5 GHz, point-to-point, and point-to-multipoint.
Nice to have:
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, or equivalent network infrastructure engineering experience
