We are seeking to appoint a Compliance and Risk Consultant, a strong and capable individual to add additional insight, knowledge and professionalism to the Risk and Compliance team. Reporting to the Head of Risk and Compliance, the Compliance and Risk Consultant will work to implement and enhance the risk and compliance frameworks internally. The role is a control function (CF) and the candidate will be required to meet the fitness and probity requirements of the Central Bank of Ireland, prior to a job offer and on and an ongoing basis, as the role will entail regulatory compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Head of Risk and Compliance to ensure the Company has the appropriate frameworks in place to identify, monitor and report the risks (including compliance risks) to which it is or might be exposed
• Support the Head of Risk and Compliance in ensuring the Company meets all local regulatory requirements and group guidelines across all aspects of risk and compliance
• Assist with implementation of the annual compliance and risk monitoring plans Support the Head of Risk and Compliance in ensuring that all risk and compliance reporting is completed and submitted on time, both locally and at Group level

Skills and Experience

• 3+ years compliance and/or risk experience in a financial service company
• Experience in retail credit and knowledge/understanding of Consumer Protection Code (“CPC”), would be a distinct advantage
• Strong technical understanding of risk, compliance and regulatory practices in Ireland. Past experience working in AML/KYC and/or GDPR/Data Protection is desirable
• Experience in monitoring and testing of internal controls
• Third level education/ACOI qualified and/or similar risk qualification
