Midwest Veterinary Supply is seeking a Sales and Marketing Analyst (Remote) for our Lakeville, Minnesota location. This is a remote position that can be located in: AL, FL, IL, IN, IA, KY, MD, MN, MO, NE, NV, PA, SC, TX, and WI.
Job Summary:
The Sales and Marketing Analyst will be responsible for compiling and analyzing sales and market data. This data will be used to provide valuable feedback and actionable insights to guide Midwest’s sales and marketing activities. The focus of this work will be organized into daily, weekly, and monthly reporting deliverables in addition to deep dives into certain KPI’s where the VP of Sales or VP of Marketing may have additional questions or need further insights. The right person for this role will have an entrepreneurial mindset and be able to thrive in fast-paced environments where things may need further definition.
Essential Job Functions:
- Research and evaluate areas of opportunity for revenue growth and cost reduction for specific market segments. Evaluate innovative business development ideas provided by VP of Sales and VP of Marketing Business Units.
- Assess market trends, pricing, costs, competitor strategies, market suppliers, and customer activity. Communicate any changes which may impact supply and demand, provide recommendations to adjust strategies whenever appropriate.
- Compile, analyze, and report sales data. Monitor and evaluate sales performance. Analyze and evaluate marketing programs for ROI and offer suggestions to better service our customers. Contribute to the development of sales plans and objectives.
- Develop methods and strategies for assessing large amounts of data. Provide actionable insights to guide the sales and marketing teams.
- Work closely with sales and marketing teams to understand their areas of business. Anticipate data needs and explore optimal ways to provide data based on users’ data consumption preferences.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:
- Must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily
- College degree in business administration, sales, marketing or related field.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Strong research and data analysis experience.
- Experience in sales analysis.
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Sales forecasting, statistical or predictive modeling, and proficiency in statistical software like Excel, Tableau, Demand Caster, NetSuite or other data analytic software.
- Strong written and oral communication and competency in presentation software like Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Slides, or Keynote.
- Experience with marketing and CRM software like HubSpot or similar is preferred.
- Sales reporting, data analytics, and competency in spreadsheet and database management.
- Ability to work well independently and with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and problem solve.
- Strong attention to detail.

- Attention to detail critical to ensure accuracy and completion of objectives.
- Regular interaction with people, team-player.
- Fast pace of work, requires multi-tasking, etc.
- Continuous and sometimes rapid use of hands for writing and computer keyboard
- Continuous use of a computer monitor requiring close vision
- Continuous use of a telephone – listening and speaking skills
- Ability to work at a desk throughout the day
Equipment Used:
Regularly uses typical office equipment including computer keyboard and terminal, telephone, and copier.
Work Environment:
Work will be performed indoors in a temperature-controlled climate where moderate heat, cold or humidity may be experienced. Work will typically be performed Monday through Friday. Working more than 40 hours per workweek may be required. (This is a remote position)
