Job Title: SAP MDG Techno-Functional Consultant

Location: Jersey City, NJ (2-3 days onsite per week)

Hire Type: Fulltime

POSITION SUMMARY

• Client is looking for a technical/functional MDG implementer to join an existing and very talented SAP team, for a multi-year global implementation of MDG-S S4/Hana with Ariba SLP and two SAP ERPs/ECC
• Your primary role will be to design, implement and deploy a global MDG template that supports global business processes starting with the MDG supplier (followed by material and customer)
• You will work closely with an existing global shared development and configuration team addressing business requirements within tight timelines and budgets whilst following best practices.
• You will also work with client’s Continuous Improvement team to collect and document business requirements
• You will be working side by side with the Global SAP MDM & Governance Manager on all MDG aspects, (such as: addressing new requirements, MDG configuration, guiding internal development team, dealing with production issues, addressing data quality needs, dealing with the overall system design and architecture)
• You will be offered opportunities to create brand new or update existing solutions making them more efficient whilst using expert know-how knowledge of MDG.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Design, implementation and deployment of MDG solutions (starting with Supplier and moving to material and customer)
• Functional specification write-up for shared development/configuration team
• Lead functional and regression testing
• Oversight of MDG development process end to end, following established change control process (opportunities to enhance, standardize and improve system and processes)
• Implement & unit test MDG configuration
• Unit test MDG development
• Augment & collaborate across all manager’s functions (Overall System Design, Configuration, Governance, best practices, data quality etc.)
• Follow agile methodology practices.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Must have

• SAP MDG Supplier S/4Hana (must have) – 5 yrs
• Must have completed at least 2 MDG-S implementations
• SAP ERP Supplier data model and functional knowledge – 5 yrs
• MDG-S Data model enhancements and extensions
• MDC Configuration
• Experience with MDG implemented alongside Ariba SLP (inc. CIG)
• SAP MDG DRF and BRF experience (adequate to provide guidance to developers)
• Experienced team member in development of SAP based systems
• Experience working in a large cross functional global team consisting of (Snr developers, functional leads, external consultants, and Snr end/business users)
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment and following Agile methodologies.

Nice to have

• Experience in SAP MDG Customer, Material (nice to have)
• Experience with SAP MDG custom data object will be an added bonus
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
