JOB SUMMARY

The Scheduling Manager role oversees all activities associated with the scheduling and dispatch of jobs including team performance, job progress, and departmental analysis. This role is responsible for efficient and organized standard operating procedures and training.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Oversee and ensure efficient scheduling and dispatch operations, progress, assignment and analysis.
  • Manages department concerns and ensures compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
  • Collaborates and coordinates with other departments in terms of production schedule, assignments, and dispatch of jobs, as well as, returned and non-dispatched workload.
  • Conducts timely and constructive evaluations, coaching conversations and discipline with direct reports.
  • Directs daily workflow and provides continual training and feedback to staff.
  • Hire any vacant positions within the department and provide new hire orientation and training.
  • Seeks ways to improve department operations and procedures and creates communication and training curriculum for these improvements.
  • Performs other functions and tasks as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Supervise scheduling staff.

  • H.S. Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years Management experience
  • Flooring industry knowledge and exposure preferred
