Position Overview: This position is responsible for providing healthcare management, physical assessment, care and treatment for minor injuries and healthcare referral to the girls enrolled in the program. Also, this position is to facilitate cohesive efforts to achieve continuous quality improvement for excellence in healthcare.
Role and Responsibilities

• Complete healthcare screenings reflective of gender responsive programming principles.
• Provide healthcare and wellness information.
• Provide and manage referrals for adequate health care opportunities.
• Provide supervision supporting Pace behavior management program; participate in conflict resolution meetings.
• Provide strength based therapeutic and crisis intervention services.
• Educate staff on medication standards and procedures.
• Facilitate first aid or other health education training for girls, families and staff.
• Promote Pace within the community and network with healthcare resources.
• Model the Pace Values and Guiding Principles within the program culture.
• Monitors distribution of girls’ prescribed and no prescribed medications.
• Maintains building and grounds cleanliness and safety; participate in safety drills, first aid and disaster preparedness.
• Develops and maintains a consistent method for ensuring healthcare information is recorded in an accurate and timely manner.
• Adhere to established budget guidelines.
• Create partnerships to maximize monetary potential by incorporating volunteers, donations, etc.
• Ensure the implementation of policies and procedures; implement health care quality assurance standards and interventions.
• Develops structure and monitors the implementation of specified grants.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Required

• Bachelor degree in Nursing
• Minimum of three years experience as a Registered Nurse
• Licensed in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse
• Ability to possess a valid Florida driver’s license.

• Must adhere to Agency Values and Principles.
• Upholds the ethical standards of the Agency and 6B-1.001 Code of Ethics of the Education Profession in Florida.
• Follows policies and procedures of the Agency
• Must work evenings and weekends as required to fulfill workload requirements.
• Must be able to travel by automobile, plane, train, etc.; occasional overnight travel may be required

Preferred

• Knowledge of state and school district policies
• Knowledge of laws relating to children and families

Work Environment: The work environment characteristics can be stressful, is fast-paced and requires alertness and flexibility. The noise level is usually quiet; however, noise can accelerate to moderate and high levels.
