POSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for a competent unarmed Security Officer for Holiday Inn & Suites in Daytona Beach, FL to undertake the surveillance of our premises and protection of our staff and visitors. You will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior. The ideal candidate will inspire respect and authority as well as possess a high level of observation. The goal is to help the company in maintaining excellent working conditions by keeping our facilities safe and problem-free.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Overnight shift

Assist Front desk with Guest requests

Walk Property and Floors

Light Maintenance and Housekeeping

Respond to noise complaints

Maintain a safe and secure environment

Inspect rooms

Secure pool deck and collect trash when needed

Provide assistance to people in need

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 30 pounds.

Ability to push and pull work-related machinery.

Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Move up and down a ladder.

Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for an extended period of time.

EXPERIENCE:
Proven experience as security officer or guard.

Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety

Excellent surveillance and observation skills
