Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the monthly SAP close process for a company code(s) managed within the North America SAP group including but not limited to journal postings, intercompany reconciliations, assessments, etc.
  • Fulfill monthly corporate consolidation reporting requirements utilizing the OneStream system.
  • Prepares and/or reviews intercompany statements for worldwide subsidiaries.
  • Prepares and/or reviews posting journals and adjusting entries to the general ledger.
  • Prepares and/or reviews monthly account reconciliations.
  • Assists with both internal and external audit processes.
  • Partners with peers on the team, as well as cross functionally with those in other areas such as FP&A, HR, Treasury, Tax, Internal Leadership and Business Group personnel to solve problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
  • Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results.
  • Prepares Ad hoc analyses and reporting as requested.
  • Provides assistance in all areas of financial reporting as requested.
  • Review close processes and identify possible improvements with the goal of implementation.
  • Nordson Foundation: review monthly financials, handle deposits, funding requests and annual audit.
  • Other duties may be assigned as required.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years related experience.
  • CPA and public accounting firm experience a plus.
  • SEC reporting experience a plus

  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from others in the organization.
  • Ability to meet deadlines consistently in a changing business environment.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule forms.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel required, knowledge of SAP and OneStream a plus.
  • Outstanding customer focus including attributes of empathy, compassion and service orientation.
  • Passionate and high energy which can assist in selling future vision to team and customers.
  • Strong detail orientation.
  • Adaptability/flexibility which includes being open to change and conducting business differently.
