Responsibilities
SENIOR BUYER
Essential Functions Manage supply chain activities for assigned suppliers in the procurement of complex and simple machined parts, standard hardware and/or source-controlled items through the procurement process to final delivery of product ensuring cost, delivery, and quality objectives are achieved. Develops and executes sourcing strategies to maximize quality and service while minimizing cost. Responsible for component source development and qualification of new suppliers as required. Develops, evaluates, and administers proposals and contracts to maximize service while minimizing cost. Supports Procurement goals by issuing RFP/RFQs. Determines best supply source(s) by executing & analyzing competitive bids and supply risk factors. Serves as a liaison between production and suppliers by negotiating costs and delivery requirements. Any variances requires the ability to act based on production priorities and communicate any variance to all affected internal parties. Conducts regular supplier reviews with all assigned suppliers. Assist supplier with improvement plans when quality, delivery, or cost concerns are identified. Facilitates Procurement process by issuing purchase orders and amendments in accordance with production requirements and inventory goals. Responsible for responding and reacting to internal schedule changes, communicating to the Supply Chain these changes, and support escalation or downgrade to the current production schedule with external suppliers immediately. Conducts regularly scheduled outreach to assigned suppliers to ensure delivery schedule compliance. Review all data utilized for developing the various purchasing metrics to ensure the accuracy and integrity of each metric. Responsible for timely resolution to any supplier quality issues should they arise in processing RTV’s (Return to Vendors). Provides support to Purchasing Manager by providing input into various weekly / monthly reports, identifying, or advising any unusual trends in cost, quality, delivery, or supply risks. Other duties as assigned to ensure customer needs are met. Qualifications
Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business or a similar field of study or equivalent experience. Three (3) to five (5) years of aerospace purchasing experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Read, understand, and effectively write English. Excellent verbal and written communication in English. Effective time management and self-starter. Ability to make quick decisions and prioritize. Ability to operate a PC with knowledge of MS office products and an MRP/ERP system. Epicor experience preferred. Detail-oriented. Strong Analytical Skills
