CREGG Recruitment are currently recruiting a Senior Buyer for a leading medical device multinational company in Galway.
Hours of Work: 9.30-4.30 Monday – Thursday and Finish early on a friday (Remote work 1 day per week on site)
About the role:
Reporting to the manager and working with a team of 15 people you will be responsible for a wide range of buyer goods for a manufacturing line.
Your responsibilities include:
- Contact local and international suppliers, to assure availability of materials for the production floor.
- Maintain good relations with suppliers.
- Assess suppliers‘ performance periodically.
- Evaluate and select the company´s materials providers.
- Maintain the cost-quality relation, pursuing the maximum savings for the company.
- Satisfy established materials inventory levels.
- Execute the complete raw material purchase cycle, from definition of the requirement to receiving the merchandise.
- Generate continuous improvement projects for processes related to raw material purchases.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor /degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related field.
- Experience: at least 2-3 years of experience in Purchasing of raw materials.
- Desired knowledge: APICS Certification Desirable, Inventory, Microsoft Office, SAP, Power BI.
