Compute Cloud Services group develops Cloud native compute management with an as-a- service experience delivering unified operations of compute environment and also develops an automated, template driven approach of deploying, provisioning, updating and integrating compute, storage and networking into software defined infrastructure with workflow automation.

About the Job:

As a cloud engineer working on our compute cloud product team, you will be a hands-on engineer architecting, designing and implementing a highly scalable set of microservices with special emphasis on resiliency, scalability, efficiency and performance.

This role is a broadly defined cross-cutting role and comes with authority to build and tackle a backlog of scalability, performance, resiliency and infrastructure efficiencies to support our product ramp targets. You will be helping us solve complex challenges in low-latency and zero data-loss scenarios that require demonstrated expertise in distributed systems, fault-tolerance and scalability. This role demands technical excellence from design through
implementation, and beyond into production operations.

How You'll Make Your Mark:

• Work closely with operations and application development teams to design and implement scalable and high performance compute cloud services that deliver solutions to connect devices at the edge with the cloud.

• Able to look at problems at the system level (from infra to services) and figure out short term and longer term solutions to address scalability and performance bottlenecks and make appropriate tradeoffs velocity

• Ability to dive and help product feature teams with feature development where necessary

• Ensure all necessary operational processes to deploy and deliver cloud native applications are carried out with a high level of attention to detail, expediency and on time delivery

• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues with creativity and a sense of urgency

About You:

• Several years of hands on software development experience

• Experience developing scalable applications using modern techologies including Kubernetes, Python, REST web services and event driven programming patterns.

• Experience with Kubernetes and AWS technologies a must.

• Highly desirable one or more of: Kafka, Postgres, Redis, ElasticSearch, or Cloud Security Experience
