To be a successful AAS Senior Consultant, you should have a passion for client service and developing team members, be highly self-motivated while motivating other team members, work well in cross-functional teams (both internal and client-facing), embrace technology, and possess technical expertise commensurate with the role.
How you will contribute:
- Contribute to the development of a new accounting advisory market offering. As part of this effort, help identify top talent, establish strong relationships with target clients, and develop practice management processes.
- Provide accounting advisory support to large multi-national clients, including assisting them with understanding and implementing new or complex accounting standards such as financial instruments accounting (e.g., credit impairment), consolidation, acquisition accounting, fair value measurement, derivatives and hedging, revenue recognition, and leasing.
- Provide transaction-related accounting and reporting support for capital markets transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, IPOs, and other complex capital raising transactions.
- Identify and foster long-term relationships with new and existing target clients.
- Help develop firm thought-ware on technical accounting and financial reporting matters.
- Demonstrated ability to develop lasting relationships with business clients.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Demonstrated expertise and application of US GAAP- Strong problem resolution skills and desire to learn new things
- Strong accounting research skills and ability to formulate appropriate accounting answer
- Excellent project management and communication background
- Ability to travel as needed
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in an appropriate field required
- 3+ years of experience with a public accounting firm or equivalent industry experience required
SEC financial reporting assistance including advising on Form S-1, S-4, 10-Q or 10-Ks or foreign private issuer equivalents.- Experience serving SPACs through the registration process and through de-SPAC transactions
- Drafting messaging on complex financial reporting matters and technical accounting issues
- Development of technical memos and assistance with complex accounting calculations
