Your role as a Senior DevOps Enablement Engineer at OneStudyTeam is truly vital. You get to shape and support two major verticals, one of which is new and refers to a patient-facing mobile app. You enable the expansion and maintenance of their IaC capabilities in two important ways: by implementing best practices around infrastructure and environment management, as well as by mentoring and guiding these teams to be more capable and productive.

What You'll Be Working On

  • Work closely with multiple product development teams to become more capable and efficient in the infrastructure and operations that support the products they build
  • Partner with our Site Reliability Engineering team to understand and implement best practices around infrastructure and environment management across our organization
  • Enable our Design and Product teams to design, create and maintain cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services, as features move through the value stream
  • Drive the development of automation, processes, and tools with an eye toward availability, latency, performance, and capacity
  • Strive for technological excellence and accomplishment through the adoption of modern tools, processes, and standards
  • Develop and enhance tools to improve the observability of the events of our sub-systems (as championed by Charity Majors)

What You Bring To OneStudyTeam

  • 5 years of professional software product development in an Agile, DevOps environment, ideally developing SaaS products
  • Demonstrated experience as a technical team lead, skills mentor, or trainer for product delivery teams
  • Experience with modern infrastructure essentials like AWS, Docker, and CI/CD tools.
  • Ability to create, manage, and deploy infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Ability to deploy, configure, and utilize monitoring and tracing services, such as Grafana, New Relic or Datadog
  • Ability to troubleshoot performance problems and system outages
  • Skills in implementing secure, public-facing AWS Cloud-based systems
  • Experience implementing security controls for AWS environments, including setup and management of authentication controls, VPNs, KMS, etc
  • Experience operating and querying an ELK stack or similar solution
  • Knowledge of functional programming languages and philosophy (or existing Clojure chops!)
  • Experience with regulatory regimes such as HIPAA and GDPR is a nice-to-have
